The Interlake Steamship Company is always accepting applications for all shipboard positions. All applicants must hold a valid Merchant Mariner's Document. For information on obtaining a Merchant Mariner's Document, please contact the United States Coast Guard, Toledo Regional Examination Center, at 419-418-6010, or visit the website http://www.uscg.mil/stcw/ .

Beginning in April 2009, you must also have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Safety Administration.  Visit the TWIC website at https://twicprogram.tsa.dhs.gov/TWICWebApp/ or contact the program at 1-866-347-8942.

Additionally, an applicant for a position as a deck officer (Mate) must possess a license with first class pilotage (Great Lakes) endorsement, and an applicant for a position as an engine officer (Engineer) must possess an unlimited steam or diesel license.

The Interlake Steamship Company currently has needs in the following areas:

Shipboard Employment:
Able-bodied Seamen (AB)
Qualified Members of the Engine Department (QMED)/Oilers

Shore-side Management:
No positions available at this time.
