Although we are not currently hiring, the Interlake Steamship Company will accept applications for all shipboard positions. All applicants must hold a valid Merchant Mariner's Document or Merchant Mariner's Credential. For information on obtaining a Merchant Mariner's Document/Credential, please contact the United States Coast Guard, Toledo Regional Examination Center, at 419-418-6010, or visit the website http://www.uscg.mil/stcw/ .

You must also have a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) issued by the Transportation Safety Administration.  Visit the TWIC website at https://twicprogram.tsa.dhs.gov/TWICWebApp/ or contact the program at 1-866-347-8942.

Additionally, an applicant for a position as a deck officer (Mate) must possess a license with first class pilotage (Great Lakes) endorsement, and an applicant for a position as an engine officer (Engineer) must possess an unlimited steam or diesel license.
